JANA Kramer admitted it’s “not healthy” to fight with cheating ex-husband, Mike Caussin, in front of kids Jolie, five, and Jace, two.

It was recently reported, Jana and Jay Cutler reportedly broke up because he “didn’t make his ex Kristin Cavallari jealous” with their very public dates.

Jana told Us Weekly of arguing with Mike in front of her children: “It’s not good. It’s not healthy.

“And that’s one thing that we have done a great job on.”

She added she and Mike try to stay on the “same page” with their children.

For example, she never says “yes,” to them after Mike has said “no.”

Jana said of their kids finding out about her and Mike’s split and his “sex addiction.”

She noted: “They’re going to get old enough to Google. They’re so smart…[I’ll] let them ask questions and be open to explaining [our] past.”

Jana previously said she and Mike will one day “sit [Jolie] down… We’ve definitely talked about [doing] it when Jolie gets to the age where she can Google. I don’t know what age that’s going to be.”

She said Jolie understands more of her parents’ divorce than Jace, telling Extra in May: “Jolie knows and she’s kind of telling everyone, which kind of breaks my heart.

“She’s like, ‘Daddy and Mommy have different houses.’ They’ve always had both of us. Both of us are essentially stay-at-home parents, so I think that was really hard on [Jace].

“I think now that we’re getting into a good parenting schedule, they’ll be OK.”

Behind Jay and Jana’s Breakup

Us Weekly recently shared Jana and Jay split after they were first spotted on a date together in September.

The outlet reported: “Kristin wasn’t jealous to begin with. The real reason [they broke up] is because he didn’t succeed at making Kristin jealous.

“He took Jana to the most public places for their dates, knowing they would be photographed together and would get attention from being out in Nashville, but it never worked.”

Yesterday, the outlet revealed: “Jana is still single. She and Jay went on a few dates, but things seemed to fizzle out between them. They’re not seeing each other anymore.”

Jana, 37, and Jay, 38, made headlines when they were getting cozy together at a comedy show by Nate Bargatze in South Carolina.

A source for E! News confirmed that the pair was “there, and they had a lot of fun.”

The two reportedly had their first date at Bourbon Steak before they had gone for “drinks” at Nashville’s L.A. Jackson, according to People.

BREAKING GIRL CODE

Kristin, however, was not happy about the news that her children’s father and former BFF were romantically linked.

The 34-year-old reportedly blocked the Love At First Bark actress on social media when she discovered her former Spring Breakdown co-star had gone on a date with her ex-husband. 

An insider told The Daily Mail Kristin claimed to have felt “like it is a complete stab in the back.”

The source added: “Girlfriends don’t do this to one another.”

KRISTIN’S NEW MAN

At the beginning of September, TMZ discovered the reality star and country star Chase Rice had been dating since July.

The outlet mentioned the two had been keeping things supposedly “pretty low-key and casual.”

Neither Kristin nor Chase have confirmed their romance though.

Jealousy may have played a factor in Jay and Jana’s short-lived romance as Kristin was getting back on the dating scene at the same time.

Sources close to the Laguna Beach alum told Us Weekly at the time that “Jay was trying to make Kristin jealous but Kristin has told friends it isn’t going to work.”

“It’s not a coincidence that Jay decided to go public with Jana right after news broke that Kristin and Chase Rice are dating.”

A source also said that the news was especially painful since “Kristin’s been helping Jana throughout her divorce” from ex-football star Mike Caussin.

CO-PARENT STRUGGLES

The country singer recently opened up about her co-parting struggles with her ex as they share five-year-old daughter Jolie, and two-year-old son Jace together.

“I have to basically put aside my own feelings of hurt and anger and frustration and betrayal, which are all very much there,” she told People.

“It’s really hard to do when you have that betrayal and you want to be angry, but I have two beautiful children that don’t deserve that energy.”

Jana added: “Whenever we’re with the kids we’re always very energetic to each other and we respect each other.

“It’s very hard. I go in the car and I’ll either cry or call friends and just scream.”

The former couple split in 2016 after he cheated with multiple women, as he entered treatment for sex addiction soon after.

In December 2017, they renewed their vows in Hawaii, however, trouble occurred again after Jana discovered a woman texted him a topless photo in October 2019.

Jana, who has over two million followers on Instagram, has not been shy when it comes to opening up about her past relationship – she even “sold her wedding ring” to renovate her home.

But now she’s decided to keep any new romances under wraps.

“You know, I have been very open in all my relationships, especially with my last relationship,” she told People.

“For me, I just feel like I need to be very careful talking about the next relationships because I know how they get picked apart.

“Right now I just want to enjoy and keep things close to me.” 

The Hills alum split from Jay back in 2020 and share three children: Camden, nine, Jaxon, seven, and daughter Saylor, five.
