County residents resolve for healthier new year | News

Some Schuylkill County residents are looking forward to the new year with resolutions to be healthier and happier in 2021.

Mary Ann Mullen, New Ringgold, said she always resolves to stay in shape and be healthy.

This year, she added that she hopes to be able to move forward past the pandemic.

“No more COVID and a healthy new year,” Mullen said. “I hope everybody moves on in the new year.”

John Vadyak, Schuylkill Haven, said he is happy 2020 is ending, and he hopes next year will be different.

“I want to be more healthy and to be able to get out and about more,” Vadyak said.

For Lacie Hemerly, Pottsville, this year has been difficult, and has shown her that “life’s too short.”

“Just to live life every day,” Hemerly said of her resolution.

8:00 There’s breaking news. Jimmy Garoppolo almost certainly won’t play again this season, but George Kittle might, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Apparently, Garoppolo’s ankle injury has not fully recovered and there’s a risk he would reinjure it if he were to play again this season. Plus, both he and the 49ers want him healthy this offseason, presumably so the 49ers can trade him at his highest value. I’m sure the 49ers would consider keeping Garoppolo if the salary cap weren’t going down next year. But it is going down, due to the pandemic. No one could have foreseen this happening a year ago. Britney Spears’ Boyfriend Sam Asghari Reveals He Tested Positive to Coronavirus

Britney Spears‘ boyfriend Sam Asghari recently had the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Asghari, 26, shared his diagnosis on Instagram Wednesday, saying that he has since recovered and experienced very few symptoms.

“2020 has been a crazy/twisted year for all of us. Recently I tested positive for Covid-19, I was lucky enough to catch the news before being around and infecting my loved ones (friends, family, significant other),” the model wrote on Instagram. “I quickly isolated myself and started my quarantine process alone. 🙏🏽”

Asghari said he credits his “healthy lifestyle” for only experiencing cold symptoms for one day. The model said he continued working out and eating clean while he was in quarantine.

Notah Begay III Foundation Continues to Spread Smiles and Healthy Living During Most Difficult Year

Meaningful change often takes place slowly. But if done correctly the evolution of progress becomes infectious, arming younger generations with healthy eating and the confidence to continue the mission for years to come.

When famed golfer Notah Begay III started his foundation in 2005, he wanted to address the alarming rates of diabetes in Native American communities.

The Notah Begay III (NB3) Foundation began with soccer activities and the inclusion of a junior golfer program. All of that has evolved into a meticulously run foundation that gets the youth active, motivated and educated.

“Our vision is that all children have the opportunity to live healthy, happy and fulfilled lives,” Cyanne Lujan, director of advancement for the NB3 Foundation, tells En Fuego.

Work that remains encompassing and immersive for the younger generation concentrates on four tenets: Physical activity, healthy nutrition, youth development, and cultural connections.
